What your result means

NLR (Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio) is a simple, widely-used marker of systemic low-grade inflammation ("inflammaging"), calculable from a routine, inexpensive CBC with no specialized inflammatory markers needed. A ratio between 1.0-2.0 is commonly considered favorable; higher values are associated in research with more systemic inflammation and higher all-cause mortality risk.
