1. About these terms
By using awegene.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You must be 18 or over.
2. Not medical advice
Calculators, scores, plans, articles, the AI Coach and all other content are educational estimates and general information. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and no doctor-patient relationship is created. Do not ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something on aweGene. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Our scores (for example ALI, AVC, ABR and biological age) are wellness estimates built from your inputs. They are not clinically validated medical tests. The page “How we calculate” explains how they are produced.
3. Clinic directory and introductions
Listings describe independent organizations. A listing is not an endorsement, a guarantee of quality, or a recommendation. Check credentials, prices and conditions directly with the provider. aweGene is not a party to any agreement between you and a provider and is not responsible for the services they provide. aweGene may receive a referral fee from providers; it does not change what you pay and it does not change how providers are shown in the quiz or in search results.
The medical tourism quiz and concierge requests produce an information shortlist, not a treatment recommendation. Travelling for care has risks, including differences in standards, language, follow-up care and insurance coverage. Ask your insurer before you travel; many public schemes, including US Medicare in most cases, do not pay for planned care abroad.
4. Accounts and plans
Keep your login private and give accurate information. Paid plans and partner listings are described on their pages. All payments are non-refundable, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to a refund or cancellation, or as stated in section 5. Partner listings are one-off purchases for the period shown at checkout and do not renew automatically.
5. Partner listings
Owners confirm that they are authorized to represent the organization and that the information and packages they submit are accurate, lawful and not misleading. We may review, edit, hide or remove content, and end a partner listing that breaks these terms or the law, with a refund of the unused period unless the breach was serious. Packages must show exact prices and must not promise medical results.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no unlawful content, scraping that harms the service, attempts to break security, impersonation, or submitting other people’s data without their permission.
7. Your content
You keep the rights to what you submit. You give us a licence to store and display it as needed to run the service. You are responsible for what you submit.
8. Our content
The site, software, text and design belong to aweGene or its licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Third-party links and services
We are not responsible for third-party sites, devices, clinics or services, including wearable providers and payment processors.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, aweGene is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on the content, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Your local rights
These terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
